Below are the most frequently asked questions that our Contact Centre have received regarding your travel plans around Brexit.

Should I wait until further details on Brexit are announced before I book my travel ticket?

Our pricing is based on supply and demand, so we always recommend that you book early to benefit from the best fares. Should you need to make changes to your travel plans you can amend your booking - without being charged an admin fee - up to 24 hours before you travel with us (subject to availability*). Over the past 2 years the Eurotunnel team have been working to ensure our service is prepared for Brexit. We would advise that you read the Government recommendations below to ensure you have all the necessary documentation.

What happens if I need to change my ticket?

You can make as many changes as you like, subject to availability, without any amendment fee (up to 24hrs before your booked travel time). You may be required to pay any difference in fare. With most bookings you can now do this online at (How to: Manage/change your booking online).

If you paid for all or part of your booking using Tesco Travel Vouchers, you will need to arrange this by calling us our Contact Centre.

Will my ticket be refunded if I decide not to travel?

This depends on your ticket type and we would advise you to check your terms and conditions. For a guaranteed refundable fare, our Flexiplus ticket is both fully amendable and refundable giving you that extra peace of mind.

If I’ve booked with a Tour Operator or Travel Agent, who do I talk to about my booking?

We would advise you to contact your Tour Operator or Travel Agent directly with any queries.

Should I be worried about taking my pet(s) to mainland Europe after Brexit?

You can add a pet to your booking any time before you travel. You can also be safe in the knowledge that should you decide not to take your pet with you, we will refund the full pet supplement. We recommend you visit: How will Brexit affect my pet passport.

Should I open a Frequent Traveller account or wait until after Brexit?

If you decide not to travel, simply let us know and your unused ticket will be credited back into your account. Our Frequent Traveller Scheme allows you to secure a minimum of 10 single journeys at a great price. This account is valid for 12 months and can be shared with one nominated person.

What happens if I’m delayed on the motorway due to Brexit?

Eurotunnel cannot control traffic flow outside of its terminals, however, we will continue to work with local authorities to ensure our customers are kept up to date. In the unfortunate event of a build-up of traffic on the motorway which results in customers arriving late, we will as always endeavour to accommodate them on the next available shuttle*. Our service operates 7 days a week, 24hrs a day.
